LG enV Touch

The LG enV TOUCH is new phone from LG which features a full QWERTY keyboard as well as a touch screen interface. It’s the follow up to the very successful LG VX1000 Voyager and it just happens to be an outstanding device.

The LG enV Touch is a fully touch screen mobile phone right down to the virtual dialer. It has two screens, one on the outside and one inside, that are both incredibly vibrant. The outside screen, which is the responsive touch screen, measures 3 inches diagonally and is capable of producing 1.6 million colors. The back-light time, menu fonts, dial fonts, and the charging screen are all adjustable. Dialing and texting can both be accomplished from the front touch screen, and the virtual QWERTY keyboard is activated simply by turning the phone sideways.

Inside the LG enV Touch is a full physical keyboard that many texters will prefer. The phone also has Bluetooth capability, built-in stereo speakers, a jack that supports a standard 3.5 millimeter headset plug, and a slot to accommodate a microSD card. Instead of swapping the card to a card reader, which generally also requires a converter, users can simply plug the enV TOUCH straight into their computer via the built in USB mass storage interface. This is especially useful as the phone also has built-in software that is capable of reading Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel and Word documents, as well as Adobe Acrobat .pdf files. The phone even comes with a few games like Tetris, Resident Evil, and Need for Speed. Its battery life is an exceptional 4.3 hours of talk time with 17 days standby.

Besides physical features, the LG also a built in drawing pad, a 1500 entry phone book with space for up to 5 numbers, a physical address, and two email addresses in each entry. Like most other Verizon phones, the enV Touch also offers VZ Navigator, the provider's excellent GPS navigation software, and VZ Video.
